I just read a blog post and came across some things that stood out to me and would to share them with you. If you would like to have your website or blog rank higher in the search engines then you will need backlinks. And the more backlinks you have the higher your site will rank. The closer your website is to the first position in the search engines the more money you can make. These are facts of internet marketing life and this article shows you how to build backlinks that will translate into more money in your pocket.
The primary reason you should focus on getting high search engine rankings is that the sites that rank the highest get the most visitors. The sites on the first page get substantially more traffic for any keyword. And the site that is in the first position gets about 42% or more of the traffic for a particular keyword.

- Write articles on Web 2.0 sites (such as Squidoo and Hubpages)

- RSS submission
- Submit articles on Blog Carnivals in your niche
- Blogroll / Link Exchange

- Get Interviewed
