I thought I’d share this real quick. Mack Collier recently published an insightful article that explores 5 reasons why no one online likes you on Twitter:
1 – Everyone can see that you are in it for the numbers, not the people. Twitter is like any other social media tool, it works best when people are SOCIAL in their intent. Amassing a large number of followers so you can beam messages at them rarely works, and almost never works for businesses that are trying to build awareness. If you want people to follow you, treat them as such. (continue reading…)
I was reading through the comments on this blog and came across a comment by Gloria requesting a post on how to set and achieve goals. After reading her comment, I decided to write this quick post. I hope it helps.
I’m a strong believer in old saying “Dreams keep you going, but your goals keep you on track”.
You see, goals give you a purpose for taking life on. People who live without goals have no purpose and it is obvious even in their body language. They are on permanent idle. Their conversations waste your time.
They call you up on the phone and say something like “Hey, I’m just calling. I wasn’t doing anything, so I thought I’d (continue reading…)
I was reading my copy of one of my favorite books, ‘Think & Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, and was inspired to write this post on the power of great practical dreams.
We should be encouraged that this world we live in is demands we come up with new ideas, new ways of doing things, new leaders, new inventions, new methods of teaching, new methods of marketing, new books, new literature etc.
People who exploit and put into practical use the indescribable, invisible forces of unborn opportunity, have converted those forces into skyscrapers, cities, factories, airplanes, flashy cars and every form of convenience that makes life more enjoyable. (continue reading…)
If you pay attention to the information I’m getting ready to share with you right now, you’ll end up being a wealthier person down the road.
My goal is to see you totally financially independent. Does that make sense? I hope it does.
One of the concepts you’ve got to develop is the concept of ‘Pay Yourself First’. Here’s what I’m talking about. There’s a book called ‘The Richest Man in Babylon’. Now, I don’t have time to tell you the whole story behind the book.
The basic concept behind this book is paying yourself first. If you don’t do anything else, go get the book. It’s probably $5 or so at the book store.
Read chapter number two as soon as you get the book. This is a must do. (continue reading…)
Have you ever gone through times where you get down due to circumstances outside your control? Well, you should not allow that to happen, at least not for very long!
This post is meant to help you condition your mind to no longer allow those forces outside your control to affect you emotionally in a negative way.
Key number one is eliminating your perception of entitlement. Have you ever asked a favor of a friend or associate only to be sorely disappointed by their reaction or response? Did you find yourself thinking, “Wow, I have done so much for that person….I can’t believe they would turn around and treat me that way”?
Chances are that you have been in that situation before but, you should NOT allow yourself to stay in that state. If you help people solely in the hope of actually helping them rather than in the swap of favors or to receive some reciprocate action, then you will never be disappointed!
One thing that you should know is people have a very short memory of when you have helped them but we have a very long memory of where we have helped others. What do you do if someone you have helped out or supported acts in a selfish or disappointing manner? Offer to help them more!
As strange as that sounds, life is about managing your state of mind, not the minds of other people. If you can walk around with the knowledge that you are a helper of others, you will be able to maintain happiness in your mind, which, should be the goal!
Key number two is know that is it much better to be happy than to be right. And rarely can you be both happy and right! If someone is arguing with you and you know that they are dead wrong…STOP ARGUING! Choose to be happy rather than try to be right.
This is good for two reasons:
1) They may actually be right and you may be missing facts and 2) the more you put yourself in a negative or combative state, the greater chance you have to attract more things to be negative or combative about. Another benefit of having this mindset is that a lot of times those people will learn that they were wrong and then they will admire you for not trying to argue with them being that you were right.
Key number three is if you have a thought that does not serve you, throw it away! All of us have negative thoughts creep in our mind but it is our choice to accept them, dwell on them or say “I don’t think so” and throw them away.
You will never be able to eliminate the possibility of having fleeting negative thoughts but you can eliminate the length of time you spend keeping those thoughts in your mind. If you cannot think of something positive, just remember some of these phrases; “Everything is Alright”, “I feel Fantastic” or “I am so happy and excited to have so many good things coming to me right now!”
Just saying those statements will make you feel better than you were prior to thinking positively.
I hope these simple ideas will help you lead a happier and more productive life. The more we reject the victim mentality along with keeping our thoughts positive, the better our lives will be!

1. Work hard. Then work harder. The difference between me and you is I’M working when YOU’RE sleeping!! When you think you’ve done enough for the day, KEEP GOING!!
2. Believe. Never lose your faith!!! Only YOU can make the impossible possible…so prove the world wrong! BELIEVE!
3. Count your pennies. Yeah, it’s that dirty money!!! But you don’t get rich from blowing it….spend your money wisely & question EVERY business move you make. Be smart people!
4. Be humble. Remember your roots & what your mother told you. She’s still right!!
5. Listen. Choose the people in your life carefully & surround yourself with artists & experts at their craft….then listen to what they have to say. They’re the ones who will help you on the way to the top.
6. Love. Leave room every day to LOVE and be LOVED!!!
7. Don’t make the same mistake twice. There are no second chances. Period.
8. Never settle. Take the words “good enough” out of your vocabulary!!! Be the best or don’t play at all!
9. Be confident. Stay humble, but be confident. Keeping your head down won’t get you anywhere….don’t be afraid to step on some toes!!!
10. Don’t get comfortable. The minute you let your guard down, someone newer, younger, and thirstier is waiting to take your place.
People ask me this question very often: “How do you build a team whether online or offline?”
I had a mentor that did some extraordinary things in the home business/network marketing industry. I’ll never forget him telling me this. He said, “It’s very simple. To build a team, the first thing you need to do is build anticipation.”
The next step is to build the person, then build the process.
Do it in that order: build anticipation first.
The reason is because if you build anticipation first, people will be expecting. The more they expect, the more they are going to have faith that it’s going to come through. You’ve got to create an expectation that something is going to happen big.
Then you start building the person through encouragement, through education, through knowledge. You pour into them so that their expectation becomes more real to them as they grow as a person.
Then you build the process. This is the process of prospecting, contacting and following up. As you continue to build the process, you still should be building more anticipation as well as building the person bigger.
Because when you build anticipation, it’s going to give them a destination and a hope they never had before. When you build the person, it’s going to literally glue them to you because most people have never been poured into before; they’ve never been encouraged and empowered before.
Now, when you build the process, you’re pretty much in the trenches with them. Show them how to make the phone calls, show them how to do the 3 way calls, show them how to use social media to build their business etc.
The next thing you know, you’re going to have a team that’s loyal to you and duplicates that process and would literally follow you to the moon.
You’ve got to soak your team with leadership because everything rises and falls on leadership.

“No task is a long one but the task on which one dare not start. It becomes a nightmare” – CHARLES BAUDELAIRE
A few days ago, I purchased a book written by Felix Denis. If you’re not familiar with Felix Denis, he is the owner of Maxim magazine among many other companies. He is now one of the wealthiest men in Britain. His life is truly a rags to riches story.
I may not ever get as rich as Felix Dennis but I’m glad and thankful to him because he takes out his time to personally write books that give people a true, honest peek into the world of the rich–including the darker and uglier side of it.
Many people think that getting started on the path to getting rich is the most difficult part. They believe it is. If you believe that your race or color, sex or upbringing can keep you from becoming rich, it is best to give up and not even try….because you will never get rich.
Even if you’re down to nothing, you can still become successful. Nearly all the great fortunes acquired by entrepreneurs came because they had nothing to lose. Because of this, nobody bothered to tell them that such and such a thing could not be done or would be likely to fail. Of if they had been told, then they weren’t listening. They were too busy proving those around them wrong – without even meaning to.
Basically, you can’t lose if you have nothing. Thus, people who are just starting out often have the best chance to succeed. They don’t have a carefully planned out career to maintain or a pre-existing set of standards to live up to. Instead, they can simply play by their own rules. The best thing you can do if you want to succeed at anything is to not care about losing. And you probably will lose – a lot. The catch is that if you choose your actions as though you’re afraid of losing, you’ll never win. You’ll be mediocre.
Always Be Learning.
Anyone not busy learning is busy dying. Curiosity has led many a man and women into the valley of serious riches.
Don’t be afraid to work hard and take risks.
The way to getting rich is always hard and failures are many. This is why only a few ever get there. It is usually scary. You’ve got to be willing to take a risk. Start now because the earlier you start and the more risks you’re prepared to run, you will find yourself with a small success on your hands. And one success, with luck, will lead to another.
Remember the ancient Japanese saying: “Fear is the little death, death by a thousand cuts”. Shakespeare put it this way “Cowards die many times before their deaths: the valiant never taste of death but once”. Be brave. Take a chance. What’s the worst that can happen? You’ll fail. Failure is good. Michael Jordan, the great basketball player, said it best when he said “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed”.
Be bold because boldness attracts applause.
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.” – Goethe
You’ve got what it takes to make yourself rich. Now is the time to consider if you want to continue making your boss even richer or whether you wish to become rich yourself.
Even if you care nothing about becoming rich, do it for the people and things you care about the most. They are either inanimate, or they love you, or they don’t love you. They will not love you less (or more) if you decide to surprise everyone around you and seize the time. As you could seize it, if you truly wished to. Then you’d show them.
The big question is: will you even dare to try? Your chances are slim, but they are not impossible. Get yourself a fearless partner with tons of stamina. Choose him or her with care. It’s your best shot at getting rich.
