This post is going to be about winning huge in network marketing. About a year or two ago, I was given an audio cd by a friend of mine that featured Steve Little (who is a top income earner in the network marketing industry). He shared some concepts that have really helped me build my business and I’d like to share these concepts with you as well.

Here’s a story I read a long time ago:

A huge mean-looking biker dude ties his Great Dane dog to a lamp post, and goes into a little bar for a drink.
A little skinny slicker dude walks into the bar and says, “Whose Great Dane is that out there?”
The biker dude says “That Great Dane is mine, boy. Why?”
The skinny guy says “My Chihuahua just killed it.”
The biker dude says “Son, there’s no way your Chihuahua killed my Great Dane. “
The skinny dude says “Sir, I’m really sorry. I apologize.”
The biker dude says “Well, tell me something. How did your Chihuahua kill my Great Dane?”
The skinny guy says “I’m not sure but I think he got stuck in his throat.”

The moral to this story is JUST WIN. It doesn’t matter how you get the job done. Just get the job done. Period!

Success in network marketing has everything to do with our mindset because we ultimately go in the direction of our dominant thoughts. This is established by our thinking. When you think about something, it moves into your heart and then moves into your subconscious mind and causes action.

Remember this: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” – Proverb

If you feed something into your heart or subconscious mind long enough, you start to believe it and you start to act upon it. What you think about, you will become. This is why it’s so important to protect your thought life.
Your subconscious mind is your internal GPS. You can override it for a little while but eventually it goes back to the way it was programmed. Where does our subconscious mind get programmed from? Parents, teachers, friends, relatives, TV, the books you read, etc. Most of us weren’t programmed right. It’s time to change that programming. Renew your mind. The objective is to intentionally program your subconscious mind to take you where you want to go.

You’ve got to have a goal that excites and turns you on. You’ve got to have a dream that gets you up in the morning and keeps you going at night. You need a goal of greatness….something that drives you. Your goals will give you your job description and self-discipline.

I just re-read my copy of “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Here are 6 keys I got from the book that will help you win big in your network marketing career:

Key # 1: Have a Clear Concise Mental Picture of What You Want.

You’ve got to know exactly what it is you want. It’s got to be very specific. You need a goal you’re willing to trade the days of your life for. Your goal must be written….if this is not done, it lacks the clarity required to focus. When your vision is right, your works gets focused. Think of the power of the magnifying glass. You could focus it using sunlight and light a fire. You could also focus it at the right angle and create a laser that could cut through steel. There’s nothing more powerful than a focused life.

Key # 2: Determine the Price You’re Willing to Pay to Hit Your Goal.

You’re going to pay a price. There is no free lunch. There are some things you’re going to have to give up for a season to build your network marketing business. Commit to being a student one more time. You’ve got to work on improving yourself. You’ve got to learn to believe one more time. Most of you have been rejected so many times that you’re not willing to risk it one more time. You’ve got to pay the price of discipline or you will pay the price of regret.
Key # 3: A Burning Desire.

Without a burning desire, you might as well forget about trying to make it in network marketing. You’ve got to want it so bad you can’t stand it.
Key # 4: Establish A Definite Date For The Achievement of Your Goal.

When you set a date for the achievement of your goal, this drives you. Once you set a date, put the blinders on and work it around the clock.

Key # 5: Create a Sound Plan

Part of your sound plan is that you have to begin at once. Take action immediately, whether you’re ready or not. Procrastination is a thief. What you want to do is put your foot on the throat of that sucker called procrastination and kill it. Remember this: your short terms action multiplied by time equals your long-term accomplishments. When you do something wrong long enough, you’ll figure out how to do it right.

The odds of winning in network marketing are against you but you alter these odds immediately in your favor when you take action. Have a commitment to never quit no matter how tough it gets.

Key # 6: Dream About Your Goal Ever Day.

Mentally go through the dream of reaching the highest levels in your network marketing company. Think about how great it would be to achieve total financial freedom.
