The summer olympics has begun in London and it has inspired me. I’m always inspired by the drama, stories and by the dedication shown by the athletes, not during the games but in the years and years of preparation prior to the games. That’s where those gold medals, silver medals and bronze medals are earned. That’s where qualifying to compete is earned. It’s in those thousands of lonely hours by themselves, focused on their skills, focused on their craft, listening to their coaches and practising over and over again.

How would we relate this to you and me inside of network marketing? What if the average network marketer would devote the same number of hours and intensity and focus on developing skills in network marketing as an olympic athlete focuses on their skills for their olympic sport? You see, there are a lot of olympians who get a medal and go home and then need a job. They don’t have any income.

The great thing about network marketing is that you can focus on your skills like an athlete, like someone who wants to be world class and eventually those skills will not only get you the awards and the recognition, rank advancements and acholades but it will also give you a residual income that will pay you month after month, year after year.

To become a network marketing professional, you can choose to apply the same effort as an athlete does to become one of the best. You have the potential to become one of the best in network marketing. There’s nothing that can stop you. Nothing can get in your way. You can decide that you won’t be stopped and you won’t be stopped because your skills will make a place for you. Think about that. Are you training like an athlete would to become better at your skills?
