I was inspired to write this blog post after watching Beyoncé Knowles’ video of the song “I Was Here” from her latest album “4“. Today is actually the first day that I listened to this great song. In the song, Beyoncé reviews her past, wanting to leave an impact on the world before her life comes to an end. The song was motivated by the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US.
The 1st few lines of the song go like this:
“I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
Know there was something that, and something that I left behind
When I leave this world, I’ll leave no regrets
Leave something to remember, so they won’t forget.”
You are not an accident. Your birth was no mistake or mishap, and your life is no fluke. You were brought into this world to live a life of no regrets and to leave your mark. The only way to leave your mark is through hard work and belief in your dreams. Nothing in your life is arbitrary. It’s all for a purpose. I want you to know that your life has profound meaning!

I hope that it lights a fire in your belly and that it prompts you to make a decision today to do things that will leave your mark in the hearts of people in your community and around the world.
