I was reading my copy of one of my favorite books, ‘Think & Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, and was inspired to write this post on the power of great practical dreams.

We should be encouraged that this world we live in is demands we come up with new ideas, new ways of doing things, new leaders, new inventions, new methods of teaching, new methods of marketing, new books, new literature etc.

People who exploit and put into practical use the indescribable, invisible forces of unborn opportunity, have converted those forces into skyscrapers, cities, factories, airplanes, flashy cars and every form of convenience that makes life more enjoyable.

Great dreams start in the mind!

In order to succeed, one must possess the knowledge of what one wants and a red hot desire to possess it.

As you embark on your journey towards your share of wealth or financial independence, do not allow anyone to influence you to scorn people who dream.

Many people do not pursue their dreams because they are fearful of rejection. They are concerned with what other people will say if they so call ‘fail’.

This looming need for validation from others must be addressed and conquered if we are ever going to grasp the dreams and visions on the inside of us. It is important to note that many successful people today were rejected by their friends but they went ahead to become successful despite the rejection.

If you remain consumed by the need to get approval from others in order to realize your dream, you will never step into your greatness.

If the thing you wish to do is right, and you believe in it, go ahead and do it!

Put your dreams across and never mind what people are going to say if you meet with temporary defeat. These people have not realized that every failure brings with it a seed of an equivalent success.

There have been stories of people like Thomas Edison who dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity. Despite more than 10,000 failures, he didn’t quit. He stood by that dream until it became a reality.

How about the Wright brothers? They dreamed of a machine that would fly through the air. They were ridiculed but they did not give up on their dream. Today, we see evidence all over the world that their dream was sound.

Practical dreamers don’t quit!

There is an abundance of opportunity in the world today. If you have a dream that you’ve buried for many years, now is the time to dig it up. Think beyond that which is commonly allowed.

I’ll end with this quote by George Bernard Shaw, “The people that make it in this life look for the circumstances they want and if they can’t find them, they create them.”

Create your dreams and live them.
